Questions people ask
What is Color Waffle?
Color Waffle is a colour tool made by TINYLabs. It brings picking a colour, building a palette, checking contrast and generating a design system into one workflow.
Who is Color Waffle for?
Designers choosing and testing colour, and developers who need that colour as tokens and code they can ship.
Which colour formats does it support?
HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV and OKLCH. Every value can be copied in any of the five with one click.
Does it check colour contrast for accessibility?
Yes. Contrast sits beside the colour you are working on: the ratio against white and against black, with a pass or fail for WCAG AA and AAA. A separate Accessibility tool tests the contrast between any two colours.
Can it build a palette from a picture?
Yes. The Inspiration Board shows curated pictures with the six colours taken from each, and one tap sends those colours to the Color Stage.
Can I export a palette as code?
Yes. System Builder turns a palette into design tokens and previews them on live mockups, and Tints & Shades makes a 19-step scale from any hue.
