Suno is an AI music company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded in 2022, it lets people make complete songs, with vocals and instruments, from a short text description, and offers Suno Studio for editing and arranging tracks. Mikey Shulman, a co-founder, is chief executive. Suno says more than 100 million people have made music with it and that over two thirds of its staff of more than 250 are musicians.
In 2024 Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Records sued Suno for copyright infringement over the recordings used to train its models. Warner Music Group settled its claims in 2025. In September 2026 Suno introduced v6, a new family of music models it says was developed with industry partners including Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe.
A 2025 funding round valued Suno at $2.45 billion. In June 2026 it raised more than $400 million at a $5.4 billion valuation in a round led by Bond Capital. It has raised over $775 million in total.
