Harvey builds AI software for lawyers and other professional services teams. It was founded in 2022 by Winston Weinberg, a former lawyer who is chief executive, and Gabe Pereyra, a former research scientist at Google DeepMind and Meta. The company is based in San Francisco.
Its platform covers legal research, contract analysis, due diligence, compliance and litigation work. Products include Agents, which carry out legal tasks from start to finish, Vault for storing and analysing large sets of documents, and Knowledge for legal, regulatory and tax research. In March 2026 Harvey said it was used by more than 100,000 lawyers across 1,300 organisations. In August 2026 it released its first in-house model, Harvey Tenet, built on the open-weight Kimi K3 model and further trained on legal data.
Harvey raised $200 million at an $11 billion valuation in March 2026, co-led by GIC and Sequoia. In September 2026 it raised $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation, co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners, bringing its total funding to more than $1.55 billion.
