Figure AI builds general-purpose humanoid robots for work and the home. It was founded in 2022 by Brett Adcock, its chief executive, who earlier co-founded Archer Aviation and the hiring marketplace Vettery. The company is based in San Jose, California.
Its current robot is Figure 03, the third generation of its humanoid. The robots run Helix, Figure's own vision-language-action model, a type of AI model that turns camera input and instructions into movement; the current version, Helix 02, controls the whole body, coordinating hands, arms, torso and feet. Figure makes its robots at BotQ, its own factory, and said in April 2026 that it had delivered more than 350 Figure 03 robots and raised output to one robot an hour.
Figure's earlier robot, Figure 02, worked on the assembly line at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Figure 03 began logistics work there in June 2026. In September 2025 Figure raised more than $1 billion at a $39 billion valuation in a round led by Parkway Venture Capital, with Brookfield, NVIDIA and Intel Capital among the investors.
