OpenAI announced $110 billion in new funding at a $730 billion pre-money valuation (its value before the new money). Amazon committed $50 billion, with $35 billion of it conditional, while NVIDIA and SoftBank put in $30 billion each. The deals came bundled with compute, the computing power used to train and run AI: NVIDIA capacity on its Vera Rubin systems and a larger cloud agreement with Amazon.
