On 3 April 2025 Daniel Kokotajlo, Scott Alexander, Thomas Larsen, Eli Lifland and Romeo Dean published AI 2027, a detailed scenario of AI progress to the end of 2027. It opens by predicting that superhuman AI will have an impact “exceeding that of the Industrial Revolution” and offers two endings, a race and a slowdown.
