Futurism reported that Sports Illustrated had published product reviews under the bylines (author names) of writers who did not exist, such as “Drew Ortiz”, whose headshot was for sale on an AI-generated headshot site. Publisher The Arena Group blamed the contractor AdVon Commerce. In December Arena fired chief executive Ross Levinsohn, without giving a reason, a week after removing three other executives.
